The little one

I never get tired of looking at that little face. She is growing and changing so quickly at the moment. Sometimes it takes my breath away and I want to press the pause button for a while so I can take in her happy baby gurgles, her warm milky breath, her little hand gently stroking my chest while she feeds. With your first born, you are so eager to see them reaching milestones but when you have your second baby, you understand with crystal clarity how fleeting babyhood really is.

  1. What a beautiful post. She is so beautiful. I wish I could have my baby time again with my second. She had so many health problems when she was first born I feel like I missed out on so much of those good bits. Thanks for sharing these blissful moments with yours!

  2. we managed to completely skip the newborn stage as Elijah was in hospital for almost 6 weeks. I told Mum it wasn't fair that I wasn't taking home a newborn - I had to leave him in NICU while I went home every night to sleep. I did get one piece of advice from an older lady and I have had it stuck in my head ever since - she said 'don't wish their life away' which is so true - we get caught up (sometimes unwillingly) comparing babies and who is reaching what first that we forget to just take that time to enjoy.

She really is beautiful btw - I love posts like these :D
